Chinese Tea Ceremony. Китайская Чайная Церемония.

Later there will be a post about Food in China, I decided to write a separate one about Tea. Also I filmed a video to show the ceremony. But… my video is gone, so I will have to describe in words only with the help of some photos, which are luckily not lost
Позже будет специальный пост о еде в Китае. А чаю я решила уделить отдельное внимание. Однако, начав рассказывать, я поняла, что мне нечего показать, я где-то затеряла свое видео про чайную церемонию 😦 Так что придется объясняться на пальцах и фото.

My ineradicable habit is to eat cookies along with drinking tea. Same as these drinks for me can not go independently and some chocolate, a cake or cookies are required to accompany 🙂 Tea in China is so special, that it is a crime to chew something along with drinking it which will prevent from enjoying the real taste of the tea. So, I should agree with Chinese that tea is an independent “dish”.
Моя неискоренимая привычка есть печеньки вприкуску с чаем или кофе. Также как эти напитки для меня не могут употребляться самостоятельно и требуется печенька, пирожок, шоколадочка… А чай в Китае оказался столь особенный, что соглашусь с Китайцами, что пить его стоит без ничего, чтобы насладиться вкусом.

Ох, рассказ будет таким сухим без видео… Но хотя бы взгляните на это разнообразие чаев!

Sometimes in the streets of China one can find tea shops where they sell variety of sorts of tea and are happy to organize a tea ceremony for customers to introduce some of them. Usually there is a big wooden platform equipped on the table.
Иногда встречаются такие магазинчики, где много видов чая, и для вас с удовольствием организуют чайную церемонию, чтобы представить некоторые из чаев. Обычно на столе установлена большая подставка (может пол-метра на пол-метра), которая еще и декоративно смотрится очень красиво. На ‘этой подставке имеется место для подогрева воды.

It has a warming element where they put a kettle to boil water. With a pair of pincers they pick up little toy-like cups from the water where they are stored and give to every tea ceremony participant, like playing cards. Later they will often refill them, same like in a card game, as soon as it gets empty. But first of all, with boiled water a teapot is washed and the water is poured out right on the wooden tray.
Палочками и щипчиками достают маленькие, словно игрушечные, блюдца для чая из воды, раздают всем, словно карты, и потом будут подливать, словно раздавать карты, снова и снова. Но сперва промывают чайничек, воду сливают прямо там же, тем самым поливая-благославляя всякие статуэтки толстого Будды, лягушки и других приносящих счастье и удачу причиндалов.

Inside it there is a vessel for accumulating water, which can be vacuumed later out by a tube with a pump leading under the table to a bucket on the floor. In the beginning of the ceremony some water is also poured on the fat Buddha and a statue of a frog and other things bringing good luck and happiness according to their belief. Brew is used several times and it is surprising how flavorful always tea is!
А внутри подставки имеется емкость, в которой накапливается вода, а потом ее можно отвести через специальную трубочку, которая ведет в ведро под столом. Заварку обычно заваривают множество раз, и на удивление она всегда дает чудесный вкус!

Most unusual tea in China in my opinion is buckwheat tea! I brought a pack back home and when I treat my friends and family, they tell that it smells like bread and tastes like cookies or candies – so true, no need to treat on anything else to accompany the tea 🙂
Such tea ceremonies are organized not only in shops, but also at some homes where people want to spend time together with their friends and family.
Наиболее удивительный чай в Китае оказался гречишный! Я привезла такой домой, и угощая друзей, слышу отзывы, что он пахнет хлебом, а на вкус как печенька, или конфетка – так что точно вприкуску давать ничего не надо 🙂
Такие чайные церемонии проводят не только в магазинах, чтобы продать чай, но и в домах, чтобы проводить время с друзьями и близкими.
