Blissful Happiness Блаженная Радость

It’s been quite a while since I have been on the Path. I use a capital letter because I mean something capital here, important. It was my personal experience as the main factor of taking the Path. And the pointing arrows were set also thanks to the experience – I was lucky to come across the field of study, as well as masters and the techniques. It’s curious that books as a common easily-accessible source of knowledge didn’t play a role on my Path. And again I’d say I am lucky in this, because there has never been a feeling that I am well-read, clever and all-knowledgeable.

Уже достаточно времени идет с тех пор, как я оказалась в Пути. Пишу с большой буквы, а значит подразумеваю нечто большое, важное. Основным фактором моего становления на Пути был мой собственный личный опыт. А указатели по нему расставились тоже благодаря опыту – довелось пересечься и с предметом изучения, и с мастером, и с техниками. Любопытно, что книги, как распространенный, привычный, легко-доступный источник знаний, на моем Пути не сыграли роли. И в этом мне опять же, я считаю, повезло. Не возникло ощущения, что начитанная, умная и всезнающая.

Following Monks Следуя за Монахами

That’s an amazing experience to spend days and nights in a company of people who are usually as a secret to you, an unapproachable object of curiosity. I happened to go on a 10 days trip with monks and nuns fillowing their mind leader – Sayadaw U Ottawassama.
Удивительный опыт – проводить дни и ночи в компании людей, которые изначально для тебя – загадка, недосягаемый предмет любопытства. Мне довелось побывать в десятидневной поездке с монахами и монашками, следовавшими за их лидером лидером их умов – монах У Оттавасама.

Almsround, an Act of Humbleness Амсраунд, Акт Почтительности

Однажды я упоминала уже в блоге (правда, пост только на английском) о своих соображениях касательно развития совсем иных качеств от тех, к которым стремится соверменное общество. Не лидерство, спикерство, достижения новых вершин, опережение соперников и в таком духе, а напротив: умение подчиниться, смолчать, принимать то, что имеем, относиться к другим, как к равным…
Среди качеств, которые я вижу наиболее важными и пока еще никак не достигнутыми мною, это смирение, покорность, почитание, самоотверженность. Оказавшись в центре медитаций ThaBarWa, я оказалась в атмосфере как нельзя лучше подходящей для наглядного примера в проходимых мною уроках.
Once I mentioned in my blog about my considerations in regard to development of absolutely different characteristics and qualities which are valued and appreciated by the modern society. It is neither leadership, nor speaker skills, nor achievement of new heights and overcoming of competitors and alike which should be mastered, but contrary: ability to surrender and obey, shut up and suspend judgment, accept and be happy with what we have, take others as friends and stay at same level…
Among qualities that I see most important to develop but yet not obtained by me at all, there are following: humbleness, obedience, veneration, selflessness. Since I came to ThaBArWa meditation center in Myanmar, I found myself in the atmosphere which can not be a better example of my lessons.

How unusually and interestingly Myanmar began! I feel so specially blessed by fortune to be having such experiences!
Как же необыкновенно и интересно началась для меня Мьянма! Я чувствую себя особенно благословленной имея возможность такого опыта!

Особо выстроенных планов на Мьянму у меня не было. Так, просто  пролистала интернет на предмет интересностей, отметила для себя что-то наиболее привлекательное, ну а дальше само как пойдет. Вот оно и пошло.
I didn’t have specific plans for Myanmar. I just looked through internet pages reading about places of interest, noted most attractive things and actually reckoned later life will put an order to events. And so it is.
